Podcasts I Enjoy
I've been reading a few blogs lately, and I have
noticed that many bloggers have began to post their
favorite things on the web. I was just siting here
listening to the NosillaCast Podcast, and thought
that I should post my favorite podcasts. First of
all, I will let you know that I listen to many
podcasts, all off of my PC, since it has a bigger
hard drive than my Mac. Here is the list and a brief
description of each podcast.
There you have it, my favorite podcasts. I know, most (if not all) of them have to do with either Apple or Tech. That's me, a typical geek. I love listening to all of these podcasts and I suggest that you check them all out.
- Apple Universe with Daniel Brusilovsky: This is a weekly audio podcast done by a 15 year old high school student. His podcasts typically run between 10 - 30 minutes, discussing Apple news throughout the week. He also does lots of web streaming on Qik and Ustream, which can be very interesting to watch.
- The Glenn Wolsey Show: This is a video show that is available in iTunes, but is mainly on YouTube. This is a quick video show done by a 16 year old whose shows are usually between 5 and 10 minutes in length. These videos do not come out on a frequent basis, unlike most podcasts. He typically posts shows 1 or 2 times a month.
- The Mac Attack: The Mac Attack is a Mac tips and tricks podcast done by Steve Stanger who discusses lots of tips, tricks, and updates released by Apple, and what they do to your system. His podcast comes out weekly and is very fun to listen to.
- The Mac Roundtable Podcast: YES! The Mac Roundtable is back. The podcast went away for about four months, but apparently the podcasters got together and decided to bring it back, and it is now being produced once a week, on two different days. The discuss lots of things relating to all things Apple.
- MacBreak Weekly: I don't listen to this podcast every week, but when I do listen to it, I enjoy it. The two big names are are Leo Laporte and Merlin Mann. They talk about not just the week in tech, but the week in Mac.
- The MacCast/MacCast Loop: This is a weekly podcast done by Adam Christianson, which comes out on Sunday and one weekday. Once again, he discusses most things related to his Mac experience and Apple news.
- The Nick Danforth Show: This is another one of those shows that is available in iTunes, but is mainly done on YouTube. I love watching his shows, even thought it is one of the shows that does not come out that often.
- The NosillaCast Podcast: This is a weekly Mac podcast that comes out every Sunday evening, that is usually about 45 minutes long, where the wonderful host, Allison Sheridan, discusses software and different pieces of hardware that she uses on a day to day base. This podcast is very fun to listen to.
- ScreenCasts Online HD: ScreenCasts Online HD is a weekly HD screencast where the host, Don McAllister demos an application. These are great videos that I can not even begin to describe. Just go over to the website or iTunes feed and check it out. I would also recommend subscribing to his Extra! Membership.
- The Typical Mac User Podcast: The Typical Mac User Podcast comes out twice a week, once on Sunday, which is a live show hosted on Talkshoe, and there is a show that comes out Tuesday. Victor Cajiao hosts this show, and he is great fun to listen to.
